Senior Physiotherapist - Community Services

An exciting opportunity exists to join the expanding Community-based team at United Physio Group based in the South East & Mornington Region of Melbourne.

As part of the Community Services team at UPG, you will find a group of physiotherapists who are passionate about delivering exceptional care in the community setting. Our team work with a diverse client base, including NDIS, DVA, Home Care, STRC, Primary Care and Private Clients across Metro Melbourne and Regional Victoria.

We are seeking an experienced Physiotherapist to take on this Senior Physiotherapist role, ideally with experience in Community Services. As we enter an exciting period of growth and change across both the aged care and community sectors, we are looking for those who embrace this change and want to help shape the growth and development of our service in addition to their clinical role.

Here at UPG, you will find a group of physiotherapists who are passionate about delivering exceptional care across multiple healthcare settings. Broadly, our group works in aged care facilities and in the community across VIC, NSW, QLD, TAS and WA, improving the quality of life for thousands of valued clients. In addition, we have a Flagship Studio where we provide Pilates, Yoga and Private Physiotherapy services, along with sports physiotherapy services to local clubs. As a member of the UPG team, you will have an incredible opportunity to work across a variety of settings in addition to your Community Services caseload. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

As a Community Services Physiotherapist, your role will involve:

  • Engaging with clients with a variety of clinical presentations across a range of community environments, from clients' homes to local pools and retirement living villages.

  • Seeing clients across a variety of funding streams including NDIS, Home Care Packages, DVA, STRC, Primary Care and CHSP.

  • Liaising with Case Manager/Support Coordinators and the larger team to enable clients to achieve their goals.

  • Managing your schedule effectively, including clinical and non-clinical tasks

  • Participating in ongoing Professional Development and developing skills through individual mentoring and team learning events

  • Running community based exercise groups, Hydrotherapy Groups and Falls prevention programs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor of Physiotherapy OR an equivalent internationally (and APA) recognised qualification

  • AHPRA Registration (General Registration required)

  • Clinical skills to perform comprehensive Assessment, Treatment, and Risk Assessments

  • Appropriate working visas - no visa restrictions

  • A National Police Certificate

  • NDIS Check/Working with Children Check

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Driver’s license and access to your own car
