An excellent opportunity exists for a Physiotherapist to become part of our Residential Aged Care Services team, supporting clients across Melbourne’s Inner and Outer Eastern suburbs. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about making a meaningful difference to the quality of life of older adults, within an innovative aged care environment.

We welcome applications from both experienced Physiotherapists and those in the early stages of their careers. While experience in the aged care sector is highly regarded, we are equally interested in practitioners who are enthusiastic about contributing to a sector undergoing exciting growth and transformation, and who wish to help shape the future of our services alongside their clinical work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting detailed assessments, developing individualised care plans, and providing treatment to clients.

  • Communicating effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, medical practitioners, allied health colleagues, case managers, and equipment providers.

  • Prescribing and reviewing exercise programs, including the facilitation of exercise groups.

  • Working closely with the broader clinical team and facility management to deliver tailored care that supports clients in achieving their goals.

  • Efficiently managing your daily schedule, balancing both clinical and administrative responsibilities.

  • Providing staff education, including falls prevention and manual handling sessions.

What UPG offers:

  • A competitive remuneration package includes superannuation and paid annual and personal leave.

  • Comprehensive orientation and support from our leadership team.

  • Ongoing training and professional development, with subsidy support for external education of your choice.

  • Flexibility to manage your schedule around operational needs.

  • Clear pathways to leadership and additional responsibilities.

  • Social events and a strong focus on work-life balance.

  • Opportunities to travel across VIC, NSW, QLD, TAS, and WA for clinical work or professional development.

For those seeking to progress into leadership or service development roles, we offer:

  • Exceptional career progression and leadership pathways.

  • Opportunities to develop expertise in service design, quality improvement, and change management initiatives.

  • Potential to expand into other areas within UPG, including community care, private practice, and sports physiotherapy.

  • The chance to collaborate with and learn from experienced Allied Health leaders.

  • Opportunities may also be available to contribute to community-based physiotherapy services in the region.

  • Participating in ongoing professional development, one-on-one mentoring, and team-based learning initiatives.

About You

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy (or an equivalent qualification recognised by AHPRA/APA).

  • Current AHPRA registration (General).

  • Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and risk management.

  • Appropriate working rights in Australia (with no visa restrictions).
